PRODUCT INNOVATION: ENGINEERING / BUSINESS / MARKETING; PROJECT OWNER
GravityBed was a hypothetical company developed for a 3 month study on spatial living arrangements in dormitories. During the project, I was tasked with developing a strategy to help universities balance their need to create larger common areas in dorms, without sacrificing the living space available in smaller bedrooms. Researching consumer needs and finding beds occupy the largest floor space in both dorms and over-populated areas, I set my sights on designing a product that enabled users to elevate their bed to the vacant space at the ceiling when not in use. During the project, I developed a full business model, supply chain, manufacturing / distribution plan, as well as a digital prototype marketing plan.
